Here's something new I came across this morning.

Users join a community to network and share stuff on their mobile phones.

It's called PITCH and it's free but you need to be aware that your service provider will bill you for the data charges.

Really nothing new there. UPOC (www.upoc.com) has been around quite a while now. There is also www.sms.ac and Skype is closely affiliated to www.someonenew.com and www.community.jyve.com. So there really are quite a few of these networks that have been around for a while.

Paul:

That's true but I thought I'd add another one to the list.

It seems like you know alot about this area.

Have you had any experiences either positive or negative you'd like to share with us?

Actually, no. Though I've been on UPOC a while and know of the others can't really say much. Just use Upoc to deliver text alerts to the forum I run on the network. The mode I use is I only have direct broadcast capabilities to the members on the forum. Things get a little crazy when you allow just anyone to broadcast to the group as well. It's a good way to lose your hard earned members!
