I would like to know your assessment of web conferencing servcies. For example, why did you choose the web conferencing service you did over a free desktop-to-desktop video service like Festoon, which works with Skype? I believe the web conference service you chose requires that everyone using that service must download and install the software on their computer before they can join a conference. Are you aware that there is web conference software out there that requires only the host party to actually download and install the software? All the others have to do is access the website where the conference is taking place. One such web conference software is called Persony. Are you familiar with it?

Leslie Baldwin | | Hi Lamar,
WCS is a passion of mine and I've spent a few hours and a few $$ investigating them.
What I found are several differences - besides price that is:
1) Some people don't want to download anything, and many conferencing software has a download of some sort.
2) Limited seats - or too pricey for more that a few attendees.
3) Complete strangers don't always want to give you their Skype or Yahoo ID since you can then track their activity (in a manner).
My current confusion?
I love Hot Conference - and it will get better, but the $30.00 a month was too much for me since I wasn't really using it. I'll check back in a few months since they are reworking their basic program.
IVocalize is a cool and well developed tool but it is limited to about 3 seats for $15.00 a month and then grows in cost. (You can have a room for 24 hours free for two people)
Conferall (sp?) is great because your guests just need a web browser but no audio.
IVisit is a weird bird - but may be a good compromise if all people are willing to download the software. It's $50.00 a year for an upgrade.
Best!
