My personal experience is that copywriting skills are a MUST for any business owner. Especially for any online content like websites, ads, ezines, etc.
Proper copywriting skills involve consumer psycology, organizing your thoughts in a logical way, and much more.
Knowing your target audience intimately and learning how to emotionally charge your copy with the proper psycological triggers for your audience will help you convert A LOT more prospects.
A really complete and involved course can be found here: http://www.awaionline.com . It is a bit expensive, but well worth it because it covers everything. I have not personally taken this course, but a very good friend did.
You can also do a search for key words such "copywriting secrets" and you will find a lot of free information.
