I've gotten a few emails in the last month asking me what blog "pinging" services are available/useful these days and what not. So I wanted to make sure to add them here in the free tools section as well.
My all-time favorite ping service is http://pingoat.com. They seem to ping more locations than any of the others, and they also provide a field for you to actually type in your XML feed URL for the ping!
Another very good one is: http://pingomatic.com.
And a new one I recently discovered is:
http://pinger.blogflux.com.
*Their actual homepage is: http://pr.blogflux.com/.
- One cool thing about their homepage is that is also gives you a tool with which to check your page rank, which is quite handy!
Anyway, I know there are many more pingers out there, but these are the ones I found to be the most reliable and useful in the last months. So go ahead, ping away!
